Calgary-based Husky Energy has re-started the procurement process on its stalled White Rose Extension Project (WREP) off eastern Canada with all indicators pointing to the company sticking with its original development plan involving a wellhead platform with a concrete gravity-based structure.
A well-placed industry source said a final investment decision on the GBS solution could be made “in the first half of this year”, assuming Husky and its partner Suncor Energy agree on a revised budget and the development plan.
