Laing O’Rourke has been building four cryogenic tanks in partnership with Japan’s Kawasaki Heavy Industries under a contract with the JKC joint venture comprising JGC, KBR and Chiyoda signed in 2012.
Laing O’Rourke said Kawasaki had not paid it for its work on the project for several months, adding that it had attempted to resolve the dispute with Kawasaki but had failed to reach “a satisfactory outcome”.
