BHP Billiton is building up resources in the southeastern Green Canyon area in the Gulf of Mexico, north of its Shenzi tension-leg platform — potentially enough to consider a new host production facility.
The diversified Australian miner is forging ahead to prove up what could be a pair of new mini-basins following success at Shenzi North in 2015 and Caicos in 2016.
