The acquisition increases emerging shale player Ineos’ total acreage held under licence to more than 1.2 million acres as it also takes operatorship of three tracts.
The minority stakes in 15 licences include 25% interests in PEDLs 147, 188, 189 and exploration licence (EXL) 273, as well as a 35% share in PEDLs 293 and 295, all of which are in Cheshire.
