Premier Oil is confident of making smooth progress on the £435 million ($535 million) first phase of its promising Tolmount gas development in the southern UK North Sea.
The company is hoping to avoid a repeat of costly delays that have blighted its troubled Solan oil development in the West of Shetland area.
Premier has emphasised it will use a “controlled” approach on Tolmount, which has now entered front-end engineering and design and is earmarked for sanction in about a year.
