ONGC tender for platform at Heera gets under way

India’s state-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has issued a tender for the design, engineering, procurement, installation and construction of a new process platform for phase two of the Heera redevelopment project, off the country’s west coast.

The workscope envisages installation of the new platform, HRD, with associated modification to the existing Heera process complex (HRC).

The HRD platform will be bridge-linked to the HRC process platform.

International players such as McDermott of the US, Abu Dhabi-based National Petroleum & Construction Company, Singapore’s Swiber, Leighton of Australia and South Korean heavyweights such as Hyundai Heavy Industries and Samsung Heavy Industries are expected to show interest in the new tender, which one industry source said could be worth in the region of $300 million.
