Kinder Morgan pipe go-ahead

US pipeline outfit Kinder Morgan has received final approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to increase capacity on its TransColorado gas line, which runs 480 kilometres from north-west Colorado into New Mexico, writes Candice Cowin
The company plans to expand the capacity of the pipe by about 125 million cubic feet of natural gas per day with the addition of three new compressor stations. All of the additional capacity will be used by an unnamed operator, which signed a 10-year contract with Kinder Morgan last March.
