•• Michael Wilkes officially appointed chief financial officer of Texas-based independent Nuevo Energy following a year-long stint as the company's interim chief of finance.

•• Jon Cole promoted to a senior vice president of Texas-based contract drilling outfit Ensco International in addition to his responsibilities as vice president of business development & marketing and of safety, health & environment.

•• Larry Brady appointed a director of Houston-based services company Baker Hughes. Brady fills a position being vacated by the retirement of Richard Kinder.

•• Ned Baudat named project director for the midstream group of Houston-based services provider Mustang Engineering.

•• Jim Brown appointed to the position of vice president finance, chief financial officer and secretary of Canadian independent High Point Resources.

•• Michael Ayre appointed to the board of directors of UK-based oil and gas exploration and production outfit CanArgo.

•• Todd Grove named president of international classification society the American Bureau of Shipping from 1 May. He will replace Robert Kramek who will become ABS' president and chief operating officer

•• Wahyudin Yudiana appointed to succeed Humayunbosha as head of Caltex Pacific Indonesia when he retires on 1 May.
