First Nations communities along the northern route between Prince Rupert and Vancouver are taking a dominant lead in the province’s approval process when it comes to securing the success of the 16 proposed LNG export projects.
To date, the Lax Kw’alaams and Metlakatla First Nations have signed revenue-sharing deals with the province for a stake in land deals given to the proponents of the Aurora LNG and Woodside LNG projects, a signal of support for the proposals.
