Australia
will
not
replicate

success
of
the
US
any
time
soon.

certainly
has
shale
potential,
but
it
does
not
have
certain
crucial
factors
that
have
made
the
US
the
shale
kingpin.
Three
of
those
factors
are
rig
and
services
availability,
large
hydrocarbon
markets
and
an
extensive
pipeline
network,
according
to
BHP
Billiton.
The
basins
being
targeted
for
shale
are
in
remote
parts
of
north-western
Australia,
the
Northern
Territory
and
Queensland,
and
the
“Red
Centre”
in
central
Australia.
