Plain sailing on horizon at Filanovskogo

LUKOIL has confirmed that it expects no delays in the development of the Filanovskogo field in the Caspian Sea, the largest asset in the group of offshore fields discovered by the company between 1995 and 2005.

Lukoil is planning to install an oil and gas production platform, a processing and pumping platform, a riser block and a living quarters platform on their designated locations in the Caspian Sea during 2013-2014. Drilling is due to begin in December 2014, with produced oil and gas to be pumped via subsea pipelines for onshore processing.

The company reveals that the contract for the Filanovskogo LSP-1 drilling and production platform was signed with state-owned United Shipbuilding Corporation.
