Window of opportunity in tune with Mother Earth

THE Navajo Nation is the largest Indian tribe in the US and it owns Arizona-headquartered Navajo Nation Oil & Gas Company (NNOGC).

The company has an intriguing mission statement. “To maximise resources for the benefit of the Navajo Nation with respect for Mother Earth.” NNOGC is hard at work in doing just that.

The Navajo-owned oil company has mobilised a rig to the Utah canyonlands on its reservation to spud a 3000-foot horizontal well to investigate the Desert Creek formation on the Ute Canyon lease.The Ute Canyon project was carved out of the Echo House Mesa block in light of a discovery well drilled in the area more than four years ago.
