other
decades-old
LNG
facility,
Badak
NGL’s
Bontang
project
in
East
Kalimantan,
now
has
nine
trains
with
a
combined
nameplate
capacity
of
about
22
million
tonnes
per
annum
—
on
paper,
an
impressive
increase
from
the
3.3
million
tpa
capacity
when
Bontang
came
into
operation
in
1977
as
a
two-train
project.
However,
in
recent
years
this
project
—
as
well
as
Aceh
—
has
failed
to
fulfil
its
contractual
obligations
as
feedstock
gas
supplies
were
not
sufficient.
