The “exodus”, as one source called it, began in the first quarter this year with the resignation of Stuart Bradie, the group managing director for operations and delivery.

Bradie had been a member of the group leadership team comprising WorleyParsons’ most senior executives.

He is now the chief executive of one of WorleyParsons’ main global rivals — US company KBR.

Two more of WorleyParsons’ senior management followed suit in the subsequent months — Michael Robinson and Dorel Iosif — while Uri Nootenboom, the highly-respected president of WorleyParsons’ marine and subsea subsidiary IntecSea Engineering decided to retire.
