ATP boss quits days into job after failure to agree terms

US INDEPENDENT ATP Oil & Gas has accepted the resignation of Matt McCarroll as chief executive after only six days in the job.

ATP disclosed McCarroll as the new chief executive on 1 June, replacing Paul Bulmahn, who stayed on as chairman.

However, on 7 June ATP said that it was “unable to reach a mutually agreeable employment agreement with McCarroll and effective today he has submitted his resignation”.

Meanwhile, ATP said that it has resumed production aboard the floating drilling and production platform ATP Titan stationed at the Telemark Hub in the US Gulf. The facility had been shut-in since 14 May, due to a third-party pipeline serving the Shell Mars field being out of…
