The contract with Helix’s ROV operator subsidiary Canyon Offshore is for a fixed term of three years beginning mid-year with options to extend. Financial terms were not disclosed. Six ROV systems are being installed on three of McDermott’s ships.
Helix said it expects to equip “dual 3000-metre ROV systems” onboard the North Ocean 102, lay vessel North Ocean 105, lay vessel 108 and the derrick lay vessel 2000.
