Chariot currently holds a 55% operating stake in the block but aims to reduce this exposure and has opened a data room for potential farminees.
Its partners are Cairn Energy on 35% and state-owned SMHPM with a 10% carried interest.
About 3500 square kilometres of 3D seismic data has been processed resulting in the identification of four drill-ready prospects.
According to Chariot, these prospects are located down-dip from the legacy Ras al Beida-1 well which found thick sands and extensive oil shows and are along strike from the Aigrette-1 well which hit an oil leg in a 20-metre sand interval.
