US independent Hess has entered into a joint front-end engineering and design phase with the North West Shelf Venture (NWS) over processing of the Equus gas resource off Western Australia.
The FEED study applies to the existing infrastructure aspects of connecting the deep-water Equus field to one of the North West Shelf Venture’s offshore processing platforms.
Hess and the North West Shelf Venture signed in late 2014 a provisional gas tolling agreement, whereby Equus gas will be processed at the North West Shelf liquefied natural gas plant.
