Kuwait’s acting Oil Minister Anas al-Saleh told a parliamentary session: “An agreement has been reached with the Saudi side to resume production at Khafji field in small quantities.”
Volumes will increase “gradually after resolving environmental issues” over which the field was shut down, he added.
Production from Khafji was halted in October 2014 by the Saudis over what they described as environmental reasons.
