Ophir will in the next quarter complete a 3D seismic shoot over 10,000 square kilometres on its acreage in the deep-water Rakhine basin off Myanmar, where it has a 95% operated interest in Block AD-03, which is on trend with the producing Shwe gas field.

“Work has already started on interpreting the fast-track data and we are hoping to mature the prospect inventory during the second half of 2016 to give us the option of drilling a well in Myanmar in 2017,” Ophir said.
