CNOOC Energy Technology & Services (CNOOC EnerTech) has awarded a contract to CIMC Raffles to build a shallow-water jack-up drilling and production platform for early operations in Bohai Bay’s shallow waters off northern China.
China-based industry officials said that CNOOC EnerTech will invest in and own the jack-up Hai Yang Shi You 162, but will lease it to CNOOC Tianjin upon completion in late February next year.
