Petrobras started drilling Jupiter North-East last year using Diamond Offshore’s drillship Ocean Clipper in water depths of 2167 metres in Block BM-S-24 in the Santos basin pre-salt zone.
Petrobras had only drilled the initial section of the well when it was forced to abruptly interrupt the campaign for the rig to undergo maintenance. It re-entered the well earlier this year but it is unclear which rig was used.
