Sources said the joint venture partners in the PMT project — BG Group, Reliance Industries and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) — are planning to increase production by about 7% through the use of water injection.
The PMT fields lie off the west coast of India and are operated by BG Group.
The new investment for the fields could be as much as $3 billion, said sources.
