Petrobras started drilling Jupiter North-East in early August using Diamond Offshore drillship Ocean Clipper in water depths of 2167 metres on Santos basin Block BM-S-24.
The company was targeting pre-salt objectives at a final depth of 6018 metres.
However, the state-controlled oil company saw its efforts to drill the first prospect in almost four years inside the Jupiter accumulation go down the drain in late September, after the rig was taken off location to undergo maintenance.
