The Ensco semi-submersible Ensco 5006, formerly named Pride North America, evidently did not drill from July through September as was expected due to “unplanned downtime” according to Ensco.
Ensco said in its fleet status report that the rig earned “zero rate for all of the third quarter due to unplanned downtime” and is “addressing downtime issues with the customer”.
The contractor did not explain the nature of the downtime but added that it expects to return to a full dayrate of about $275,000 by late October.
