According to analysts in Moscow, such a jump in output is explained by rapid growth of production at Novatek’s Yurkharovskoye field in the Yamalo-Nenets autonomous region in West Siberia.
The company is also now reporting its share of output in gas producer Sibneftegaz, in which Novatek purchased a 51% stake at the end of last year, analysts said.
