Pemex, which opened bids for the Amatitlan, Soledad, Humapa, Miquetla, Miahuapan and Pitepec areas in Chicontepec last week, only awarded three leases under its complex fee-per-barrel contract model.
Halliburton won the Humapa area. The contract includes a $6.50 per barrel fee as well an a mechanism to reimburse some production costs.
Meanwhile local giant Grupo Diavaz’s unit Operadora de Campos DWF took the Miquetla tract.
