IRAQI Kurdistan is poised for a frenzied pace of exploration activity and wider foreign investment in its upstream sector following ExxonMobil’s surprise foray into the semi-autonomous region, which has long proved a thorn in the side of the Oil Ministry in Baghdad, writes Nassir Shirkhani .
