Galoc shuts in oilfield

GALOC Production Company (GPC) has again shut in its Galoc oilfield off the Philippines, this time to upgrade the floating production, storage and offloading vessel.

The Rubicon FPSO is to be upgraded at Keppel Shipyard in Singapore and will return to the field off Palawan about the end of the first quarter of 2012.

Meanwhile, the Galoc partners have approved a move into front-end engineering and design work for the project’s second development phase.
