Extended well test planned soon at Cernambi South

Petrobras expects to start an extended well test at the Cernambi South accumulation in the Santos basin pre-salt province in a matter of weeks.

The Brazilian company plans to use the BW Cidade de Sao Vicente floating production, storage and offloading vessel to carry out the test. The FPSO previously worked on the Lula and Lula North-East areas.

“The Cernambi South EWT should start very soon, still in the first quarter, however, output should be lower than the Lula EWT because the oil to gas ratio is higher in Lula than it is in Cernambi,” said a company source.
