visit

Cyprus
was
the
first
ever
by
an
Israeli
leader,
and
is
part
of
Tel
Aviv’s
strategy
to
establish
a
better
relationship
with
Nicosia
—
which
has
long
supported
the
formation
of
a
Palestinian
state
—
after
the
discovery
of
prolific
gas
resources
in
each
country’s
waters.

here
to
develop
our
bilateral
ties,
our
economic
ties
and
ties
in
the
field
of
energy,”
said

talks
with
Cypriot
President,
Dimitris
