YPFB roadshow plans to entice bidders

Bolivia’s state-owned YPFB has taken to the road to persuade companies to bid for 15 blocks spanning five geological provinces in the land-locked nation.

The blocks are being offered via two different oil service contracts allowing exploration and production, but requiring a 51:49 joint venture be set up with YPFB.

The Bolivians are also offering technical assessment agreements to enable companies to evaluate the oil and gas potential of a block ahead of a potential oil service contract.

Research agreements are available for 10 of the blocks and the other five are being offered for oil service contracts.

The Bolivian roadshow was taken to Indonesia’s annual IPA Convention and Exhibition in Jakarta.
