Nexus Energy said it hopes to restart production at the end of June at its Longtom gas field off south-east Australia.

Production was shut down at Longtom and at Santos’ nearby Patricia-Baleen field at the ­beginning of June due to an electrical fault in the offshore system.

Nexus said the location of the fault had been located and would be repaired by the end of the month.
