Yakubu in charge NNPC after reshuffle

ANDREW Yakubu, a petroleum engineer from Kaduna State, has replaced Austen Oniwon as group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

Also retired by Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan is Billy Agha, who leaves office as executive director for engineering and technology, having made a fierce reputation during his years with the Department of Petroleum for opposing gas flaring.

Abiye Membere takes over as group executive director for exploration and production while David Ige retains his writ as group executive director for gas and power.
