South Korea's big three battle for Hadrian hull

Pressing ahead: the semisub Maersk Developer recently spudded the Hadrian-6 well

US SUPERMAJOR ExxonMobil is expected to choose from among the three South Korean heavyweights — Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, Hyundai Heavy Industries and Samsung Heavy Industries — to fabricate a deep draught semi-submersible hull designed by Aker for the Hadrian North oilfield in the deep-water Gulf of Mexico.
