Talks aim to clarify bids for Abu Dhabi packages

ABU Dhabi Marine Operating Company (Adma-Opco) has started clarification talks with technical bidders for large offshore packages for the Umm al Lulu and Satah al Razboot (Sarb) oilfield developments.

Price bids are expected to be called soon for work worth several billion dollars.

Clarification talks on the Lulu engineering, procurement and construction EPC-1 package for wellhead platforms and pipelines and the Sarb EPC-3 package for pipelines and risers have started, about six weeks after the submission of technical bids, sources said. A date for the price quotes is expected to be set by Adma-Opco soon.

Bidders for Lulu EPC-1 are led by McDermott, National Petroleum Construction Company, Petrofac and a Leighton-Fluor partnership. The same four lead the field of bidders for Sarb…
