Lure of Brazil means newbuilds are likely

BRAZIL is one market that is tempting offshore vessel owner Iremis as it eyes a pair of newbuild dive-support units.

Company executives recently told Upstream that an order for two vessels could be hatched in the fourth quarter while the United Arab Emirates-based outfit also chases secondhand remotely operated vehicle support vessels. Its multi-purpose support vessel Iremis Atlantis is en route from Brazil, having been employed for a few months by Petrobras, and the company is eager for more work in the region.
