Exploration

Barra
Energia
have
so
far
encountered
a
major
oil
column
of
more
than
400
metres
of
31
degrees
API
crude
at
Carcara
with
excellent
permo-porosity
characteristics.
The
consortium
is
drilling
Carcara
in
2027
metres
of
water
with
the
cylindrical
semi-submersible
rig
Sevan
Driller.
The
programme
is
at
a
measured
depth
of
about
6250
metres,
still
inside
the
oil
zone,
and
is
expected
to
reach
a
final
depth
of
about
6500
metres
in
September.
