Eni boosts its kitty on OCTP with first oil find

ITALIAN major Eni has made a potentially commercial oil find in its Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) licence off Ghana.

Moves to delineate the size of the Sankofa East-1X discovery are in hand and expected to “confirm the feasibility of a commercial development”, said the operator.

The probe was sunk in a water depth of 825 metres and hit 28 metres of gas and condensate pay and 76 metres of gross oil pay in Cretaceous sandstones.
