Americas Petrogas hails Los Toldos Este well

CANADA’S Americas Petrogas has reported good results on a well targeting shale oil in the Vaca Muerta formation in Argentina’s Neuquen basin, writes Gareth Chetwynd.

The vertical Los Toldos Este well flowed high-quality light sweet oil at an initial rate of 694 barrels per day, and a 30-day rate of 254 bpd, Petrogas said.

The well, drilled on the Los Toldos 2 block, flowed at a 30-day rate of 309 boepd, 254 bpd of which was oil. It produced from a 343-metre-thick section of the Vaca Muerta formation and was completed with a five-stage hydraulic stimulation , Americas Petrogas said.
