Jubilant to spud in Tripura

Independent Jubilant Energy is gearing up this month to spud a second deeper exploration well on its Tripura block onshore north-east India.

The North Atharamura-1 wildcat in the Atharamura anticline has a target depth of 4060 metres and is expected to be spudded in December.

Meanwhile, the Tripura partners are planning to submit a declaration of commerciality on 28 December for the Kathalchari discovery, incorporating results of the wells drilling in the Tulamura anticline.

The Kathalchari-1 exploration well flowed at 5.2 million cubic feet per day of gas.

The first deeper exploration well, Matabari-1 on the Tulamura anticline, was drilled earlier this year.
