Adco prepares to launch tender for NEB 3 FEED work

Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Operations (Adco) is about to tender the front-end engineering & design work for the offshore part of the North East Bab third phase (NEB 3) field-complex development as it prepares an engineering, procurement and construction tender for the onshore portion.

Adco, which selected Mott MacDonald late last year as project management consultant for the $1 billion development aimed at raising Abu Dhabi’s capacity another 110,000 barrels per day by 2018, is now waiting for Technip to complete its FEED study of the onshore portion.

The NEB 3 complex consists of the Al-Dabbiya, Rumaitha and Shanayel fields.

Rumaitha and Shanayel are completely onshore in a desert region 30 kilometres south of Al-Dabbiya, which covers a series of low-lying islands in an environmentally sensitive coastal area.
