A sizeable number of contractors lined up this week to submit bids in a Petrobras tender to carry out integration work and topsides module construction for two floating production, storage and off­loading vessels designed to operate at the Franco pre-salt accumulation on unlicensed acreage in Brazil’s Santos basin.

A total of 17 companies were present on 6 February in a packed room in front of the Petrobras bidding committee to submit their respective technical and commercial offers for the P-75 and P-77 FPSOs.

As Upstream went to press, Petrobras was still tangled in the bidding process, with several sources suggesting it would take several hours or even a day for the state-controlled company to receive all proposals and collect all signatures.
