Lineham results on horizon

CHEVRON and partner McMoRan are just four to six weeks away from results from the primary objective in the ultra-deep Lineham Creek gas exploration well located onshore Cameron Parish, Louisiana, writes Anthony Guegel .

Drilling is set to resume toward total depth of 29,000 feet, just 2000 feet away, according to Chevron president of North America exploration and production Gary Luquette.

“We’ve stopped, we’ve logged, taken core and now our plans as we evaluate the core and the logs are to continue to drill to our primary objectives and total depth,” Luquette said.

He said the partners are “very encouraged by the secondary objectives” but he is hoping “to get even more good news as we get down to the primary objectives”.
