The harsh-environment jack-up, pictured onboard OHT’s heavy-lift vessel Hawk, is based on the GustoMSC CJ70 design and built to Statoil’s Category J specs for operation in water depths up to 150 metres (500 feet). Norway’s Aqualis Offshore oversaw transport for the first leg of the journey, from Singapore to Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

SAIL AWAY: Billed the world’s largest jack-up by its builder, the Noble Lloyd Noble left Sembcor Marine’s Singapore shipyard in August for the journey to Statoil’s Mariner field in the UK North Sea.
