The North Sea oil explorer has posted a net loss of $176.4 million for the full 2014 year , compared to $189.6 million profit last year, despite increasing production.

EnQuest said 2014 production was up by 15.2% to 27,895 barrels of oil equivalent per day, compared to 24,222 boep in 2013.

This was due to “good operational performance” and with a 3459 boepd contribution from EnQuest’s first international production in Malasia.
