The supermajor’s boss said on Wednesday that the company is looking to add 450,000 oil-equivalent barrels per day of working-interest production capacity through the new projects.

The Chevron-operated Gorgon liquefied natural gas gas project in Australia is very close to start-up. The first phase of the deep-water Julia development in the US Gulf of Mexico and the Hebron heavy oil project off eastern Canada, both of which are ExxonMobil operated, will also come online – the former in the second half this year and the latter next year.
