Asia Pacific-focused independent Mitra Energy has changed its name to Jadestone Energy, and shifted its headquarters to Singapore from Kuala Lumpur.
The company said the new name "reinforced the major shift in strategy" in recent months which has seen a change of leadership and movement away from an exploration-led focus.
Last month it completed the acquisition of its first producing asset - the Stag oilfield off Western Australia.
