US supermajor Chevron has unveiled a $19.8 billion capital and exploratory investment programme for 2017, a reduction on this year’s expected spend.
Chevron said the figure was expected to be at least 15% below this year’s projected capital investments and down 42% on 2015’s capital outlay.
Chief executive John Watson noted that it would be the fourth consecutive year Chevron has reduced spending.
