Australian giant Woodside Petroleum saw output climb last year, thanks to record liquefied natural gas production, however it was not enough to offset lower prices which hit revenues.

Woodside’s total operating revenue for 2016 totalled nearly US$4.1 billion, a decline on the more than US$5 billion generated in 2015.

This came despite a rise in production year-on-year, from just under 92.2 million barrels of oil equivalent to 94.9
